Beijing’s Flip-Flop Population Policy and Its Tragic Consequences

The Chinese regime has flip-flopped on its population policy in recent decades, and it’s spelled tragic consequences for the country’s people.

Having children was labeled a crime—a rule found in virtually no other country on Earth—for around three decades.

Many may have heard of China’s one child policy, which lasted from the 1980s to 2015.

Merciless enforcement of the population control policy led to disastrous personal costs for countless Chinese families. That includes forced abortions and sterilizations, sometimes as late-term as the eighth or ninth month of pregnancy. Many parents lost their jobs, had their houses torn down, and/or went bankrupt due to the massive fines they were forced to pay for having a second child.
