President Donald Trump will announce in his speech before the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) today a new set of sanctions on the North Korean communist regime.

The Treasury Department, under Trump’s orders, will soon take new action to cut off sources of funding and fuel that the regime uses to fund its nuclear weapons program and military.

The sanctions will target 56 vessels, shipping companies, and trading businesses that are helping the regime to evade sanctions.

The sanctions are the latest action by the Trump administration in response to the North Korean regime’s continued development of nuclear weapons.

Just last November it test-fired an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile that, according to Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, can reach any target around the world.

The North Korean regime has threatened the United States as well, as its allies Japan and South Korea, multiple times with nuclear weapons over the past six months.
