A zoo in Argentina will undergo a conversion to an eco-park.
The zoo will focus less on displaying animals and more on protecting them, along with conserving biodiversity.
The plans came about after an announcement that zoo ownership would be transferred to the public.
Some animals will be transferred for specialized care. The animals that stay may be removed from public view so that endangered species can again flourish.
