The Nation Speaks (Oct. 22): What Trump, Biden Tax Policies Could Mean for You; the State of Black America

In this episode of The Nation Speaks, we jump right into the top issue that affects your pocket book—taxes, and what each candidate’s proposals mean for you. We’re joined by two experts—Greg Swenson, the founding partner of Brigg MacAdam and a spokesman for Republicans Overseas UK; and Matthew Gardner, a senior fellow and prior executive director at the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP).

Then, we switch gears entirely and move to a hot button topic—race relations in America, hopefully in a way that will give you some insight into different ways people think about this critical issue. First, we talk to Bob Woodson, a veteran of the civil rights movement as well as the founder and president of the Woodson Center, which focuses on transforming troubled neighborhoods from the inside out. Then, we chat with Will Pierce, a political consultant who worked on Senator Bernie Sanders’s campaign and was the executive director for Draft Biden 2016. Finally, we’re joined by Epoch Times senior investigative reporter Joshua Philipp. In his decade of research on topics like subversion and psychological warfare, Joshua gives us his insights into the ideological underpinnings of the left and right.
