Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expanding his trip to the Middle East, as he visits Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Jordan this week. The State Department says Mr. Blinken will emphasize the importance of stopping the Israel–Hamas war from spreading, as well as of creating a pathway to an independent Palestinian state.

Meanwhile, Hamas has sent a delegate to Cairo to continue hostage negotiations. Israeli officials have also voiced concerns that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other top Israeli leaders could face possible arrest warrants from the International Criminal Court for alleged violations of international humanitarian law. David Wurmser, a Middle East affairs analyst at the Center for Security Policy, spoke to NTD about what all this could mean for Israel, its campaign to recover its citizens still held hostage, and its plan to defeat the Hamas terrorist group.
